Encha was born in 2014 when Li Gong quit his Silicon Valley job and set out on a mission to make well-made organically-farmed matcha accessible and affordable. Today Encha maintains that same mission. Our harvest and production processes are rooted in ancient traditions where slow meticulous care is paramount.

We invite ceremonial matcha lovers to experience our rich complex flavor and enjoy the benefits of pure clean energy. Encha Matcha Tea Ceremonial-Grade is 100% organic and consists of the highest quality matcha green tea leaves. Our farms ecosystem depends on the delicate balance of the natural world allowing us to grow tencha leaves without using pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.

Our matcha organic leaves are shade-grown and plucked in the first harvest from our farm in the hills of Uji Japan giving them immense depth of flavor. The perks of Matcha Tea extend beyond its sophisticated flavor. Matcha green tea powder provides natural energy as well as increased focus because its packed with antioxidants.

To brew simply take 1 tsp Encha Ceremonial Grade Matcha and whisk vigorously into 5 oz hot water at 160F. Our 60g packet of Encha matcha powder lasts about 1 month if youre enjoying it daily so we recommend using the Subscribe & Save feature so you never miss a cup of organic matcha green tea.

The difference between matcha organic and green tea lies in the nuance of growing and cultivating. Because ceremonial matcha is shade-grown for three weeks unlike typical green tea leaves its able to develop more theanine. Theanine works to keep your body and mind calm and focused so you get the benefits of caffeine without the jitters.

And because matcha ceremonial is consumed as a powder the organic matcha powder is packed with more caffeine as well as antioxidants. And finally unlike green tea when making matcha green tea powder organic the stems are removed from the tea leaves leading to a softer flavor.
