Bobs Red Mill Chia Seeds are part of the Bobs Red Mill grains of Discovery product line. The name chia Coming from the Mayan word for strength, chia seeds were eaten by the ancient Aztecs and Mayans to boost energy and increase stamina. Chia seeds are also touted for their Omega-3 fatty acids content.

You can even create a homemade vegetarian egg replacer using chia: just mix 1 part chia with 6 parts water and let the mixture gel - one tablespoon of chia gel equals one large egg in baked goods!
